A friend asked me to make a baptism cake this weekend for her little girl. I was more than happy to do so, I got to play with my cake tools and George even got a playdate out of it. The mommy came over with her two little girls (the baby and her big sister) last week to look at cake books so we could come up with ideas for the cake. George was happy to entertain and share his toys - we even had a little Easter egg hunt outside with some of the eggs we didn't get to distribute this year.
Here's a picture of the cross cake I made for little Julia. I also made a two layer chocolate cake with chocolate truffle frosting for them - it smelled so good that I think I'll have to make one of those for us this week. That's the hard part about baking for others - sometimes there's not enough extra for me to snack on.
