Notes from the crib

A friend commissioned me to make a birthday cake for her daughter's first birthday party. She gave me a photo of a cake she liked as well as the colors she wanted, and this is the final creation. I had a horrible time getting the frosting to be smooth - it was too humid when I was making it. But I did the best I could and hope she likes it!
