Notes from the crib

George's friend Abby is about to become a big sister. Today I attended a baby shower for her mommy and was honored to be asked to make the cake. The nursery is being done in a robot theme, so I used homemade marshmallow fondant to create a cute robot design. I layered the fondant on top of a thick layer of buttercream since not everyone likes fondant, and the ending result was total sugar shock. My teeth still hurt thinking about it.

George threw himself on the floor in front of the door and did his best to try to keep me from leaving with the robot cake. He came to terms with it by the time I returned home though. He spent the evening repeating "Cake all gone."
